About The Manchester Oxfam Group

Manchester Oxfam Campaigns Group is made up of local volunteers who canvas on a variety of different campaigns, linking in with Oxfam’s main organisation.

Addressing campaigns as diverse as Make Poverty History, Climate Chaos, Access to Medicines, Make Trade Fair, to name a few, we regularly action street campaigns, as well as participating in festival and music events. Fundraising provides opportunities to raise money for a specific campaign or promotion, or to contribute donations to the wider national and international work of Oxfam.

As activists working together, we are able to act as the face of Oxfam within the local community, and have the capacity to stretch our capabilities beyond that of the individual.
